The Canadian Tire Jumpstart program purpose is to help kids
4to18 to get active and healthy. The program helps at least 543,207 kids as of
this day.
In recent studies one in three Canadian families cannot
afford to enroll their children in sport or recreation activities (Vision
Critical 2011).
The Jumpstart program has been around since 2005 it consists
of 332 national chapters around the Canada. Individuals that operate this
program are mostly volunteers dedicating their time to help kids to be strong
and gain confidence to become someone that they want to be in the future. Cooperatively
they work with 2,000 local non profit organization i.e. YMCA-YWCA, Big brother
and Big sister to help the Jumpstart program identify kids that are in need. The
program finances all expense towards equipment, registration and/or
transportation costs.
There are a lot of methods to contribute to the Jumpstart program;
- Make a donation
- Host your own event in support of Canadian Tire Jumpstart
- Support a fundraising event for Canadian Tire Jumpstart
- Shop at Canadian Tire on Jumpstart Day.
In support to this program, it is our duty to safeguard the
future of our kids. Helping them succeed will help them protect their family, friends
and structure an economy with a strong barrier.
